In 2016, Diageo raised eyebrows when the drinks giant made a minority investment in the newly-launched non-alcoholic brand Seedlip. With the potential for the non-alcoholic spirits category not yet universally apparent, successfully launching a low & no-company a decade ago required vision and a keen understanding of the ingredients needed to build brands.
Emma Wykes spent 23 years in the beverage-alcohol space developing brands and learning the ins and outs of the industry before she helped steer Seedlip to an early acquisition by Diageo. She's since gone on to bolster her entrepreneurial resume as a founding partner of the first-of-its-kind non-alcoholic venture studio Pollen Projects, becoming the CEO of both the cocktail bitters brand Seasn and Sylva Labs.
Join host Andres Correa as he sits down with Emma Wykes to unpack what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur in the beverage alcohol industry. They'll offer a roadmap for how founders can successfully build disruptive brands that last.
