Loch Lomond Group has expanded beyond Scotch whisky with the acquisition of New York Distilling Company and its American whiskey portfolio, including Jaywalk Rye Whiskey, Mister Katz Rock & Rye, Dorothy Parker Gin, and Perry Tot's Navy strength gin.
The Scottish spirits producer, whose brands include Loch Lomond Single Malt and Glen's Vodka, aims to enhance growth both domestically in the U.S. and around the world through its existing distribution network spanning 125+ countries. NYDC founders Allen Katz and Tom Potter confirmed the acquisition will "introduce NYDC's brands to many key whiskey markets."
The timing aligns with American whiskey's export strength—the category represented 63% of U.S. spirits exports in 2023, worth $1.4 billion, up 9% year-over-year according to DISCUS data.
