In July 2025, Control State spirits sales showed promising signs of recovery and volume growth, with 9L volume up by 1.4% compared to July last year. Despite a slight dip in dollar sales by 0.4%, nine jurisdictions recorded positive growth in both volume and dollar sales.
Utah led control state growth, with 9L volumes up 11.6% and dollar sales rising 10.2%, while Pennsylvania followed with gains of 7.3% in 9L and 2.6% in sales. North Carolina rose 3.9% in volume and 1.4% in sales, and Montgomery County surged 14.8% in 9L, contributing to this broad-based positive performance across both measures.
On-premise spirits sales grew for the second consecutive month, with volume up 3.7% and sales increasing 1.8%, signaling a recovering on-premise market. Cocktails surged with a remarkable 31.4% volume increase, and Tequila also continued its steady growth, rising 3.4% in volume and 1.2% in sales.
