Vodka continues to lead the U.S. spirits landscape in sales, and certain states are leading the pack in driving consumption. While California dominates vodka sales with 8.6 million nine-liter cases and Florida follows with 6.5 million, these volume leaders don't necessarily reflect the markets with the highest individual consumption rates.
New Hampshire is the unexpected per capita champion in the vodka category at 681 cases per 1,000 residents, outpacing larger states in 2024. Nevada (575) and Washington D.C. (569) rounded out the top three for per capita consumption.
Park Street University's analysis of these consumer patterns reveals strategic opportunities for vodka brands in overlooked markets where concentrated demand can create expansion potential.
Park Street University is pleased to announce the lineup for another year of its Seminars for Drinks Entrepreneurs at Bar Convent Berlin from October 6-8.
Our seminars will cover topics including emerging categories around the world, the playbook for on-premise sales, and the modern spirits consumer, with speakers from Pernod Ricard, Moët Hennessy, DISCUS, and much more.
