Craft Spirits Sales Reach $7.58 Billion as Producers Focus on Home Markets

Despite experiencing a second consecutive year of decline in 2024, the U.S. craft spirits segment demonstrated resilience and strategic adaptation according to the 2025 Craft Spirits Data Project, a pioneering research initiative led by the American Craft Spirits Association (ACSA) and Park Street.

In 2024, the craft spirits market generated $7.58 billion in sales, representing a 3.3% decline for the year. However, craft producers continued to invest significantly in their businesses, with a total reinvestment of $811 million. Notably, craft distillers strategically shifted focus toward their home markets, with home state sales increasing their share of total craft spirit sales to 48.5%.

While the 2025 Craft Spirits Data Project provides an in-depth analysis of the craft spirits industry, key highlights reveal an industry in transition, with producers of all sizes adapting and demonstrating a commitment to long-term growth.
