Southern Glazer's has announced the findings from its international Liquid Insights Tour, identifying key trends before they hit the U.S. mainstream in 2026.
Among this year's key findings were cordials and aperitifs outpacing traditional spirit bases, with multiple modifiers adding complexity. "Tiny Pours", including mini martinis and tasting menus, encourage moderation while driving exploration. Non-alcoholic options are also commanding premium positioning, with non-alcoholic spirits and sparkling wines/teas ranking as the seventh most-used menu ingredient above tequila and cognac.
Debbi Peek, Director of Mixology, National Accounts On-Premise, emphasizes actionability: "These trends aren't just aspirational, they're actionable for bars and restaurants looking to meet evolving consumer expectations with elevated, globally-inspired beverage programs."
