Pernod Ricard Explores Potential Sale of Wine Brand Portfolio

Pernod Ricard is considering the potential sale of its wine portfolio, which includes well-known brands like Jacob's Creek from Australia, St Hugo, and New Zealand's Stoneleigh, according to an insider. Pernod's wine business currently constitutes about 4% of the company's total sales.

This move represents the second time since 2019 that Pernod has reportedly looked into selling its wine division, which has previously been valued at approximately $1 billion.

While no decision has been made, a Pernod spokesperson explained that the company “regularly assesses and evaluates its strategic opportunities and is continuously exploring options, including divestments or the streamlining of some or part of individual business units.” [Bloomberg]
